could be a green passionfruit. What does it look like on the inside?

it's whitish on the inside. the rind is a bit tart and crunchy, and the inside is more sweet, with a bit of tartness.

someone else here thinks it's a fig too. but it doesn't look or taste like any fig I've ever had. the texture is fig like, though a bit firmer and crisper.

You know what is so weird? I came across the same fruit last week (some unknown person in my office brought some in) and could not identify it. We tasted it and thought it might be a guava? But not sure.

I, however, could not think of a way to use the internet to answer my question. You are smart. :)

they must be in season. I'll post a note where I found this one and if anyone replies, I'll update you.

ps I only look smart. in private, I was alternately scratching my butt and the top of my head trying to think of some way to get more information.
